AT LAST THE “HISTORY OF GOVERNORS CLUB” BOOK HAS A TITLE. . . “Governors Club. . . Coming Home” The team of Hunter, Kolias, Osborne and Robb has sent their manuscript to the publisher! The book, long awaited, will be a limited edition, hard cover book available for sale in September to coordinate with the 20 year Anniversary celebration of our own Governors Club Golf Course. Carolyn Hunter and Karen Kolias have been busy for the past year and a half researching various aspects of our development as a community. The book is fact, fiction and local folklore of this area of Edwards Mountain. As Contributing Editor, Maribeth Robb is putting the finishing touches on all the words while Sam Osborne, Coordinator of Photography, is reviewing the vast array of photos. This project has been a “Labor of Love” for the team. The group plans to donate 100% of the profits to a worthwhile community project - an iron fence to surround the old Carson Plantation Cemetery located in Wilkinson Park.
